Silver Peak Systems today announced that Alumicor Limited has selected Silver Peak's NX appliances to improve the sharing of design images across the company's WAN. By optimizing the performance of AutoCAD and other key business applications across the WAN, Alumicor has improved collaboration amongst its distributed employees, resulting in faster and more economical design and manufacturing.
Silver Peak employs real-time network optimization techniques to maximize application performance across the WAN while minimizing IT operational costs. These techniques include:
-- Network Acceleration to overcome WAN latency
-- Network Integrity to correct packet delivery issues and intelligently allocate WAN resources
-- Network Memory(TM) to maximize WAN bandwidth utilization
Silver Peak's NX appliances scale from Mbps to Gbps of WAN capacity. They are designed to optimize all IP traffic, regardless of transport protocol and application software version. By delivering the highest capacity appliances that benefit the widest range of applications, Silver Peak is the most cost effective WAN optimization solution for large enterprise networks.
