Bloggers Call For Immediate Resignation Of FEMA Director Michael Brown

"It's unacceptable not to drop food and water to the superdome or the convention center for the past five days," says blogger

- Announcing the "Change The Administration" March in D.C.
- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin tells what he thinks about his fellow politicians and people in Washington in this morning's radio interview.

"FEMA Director Michael Brown must be removed from his job immediately and should be assigned to truck duty to drive and unload food and supplies to the New Orleans Convention Center thoughout the night and for the next 48 hours. This guy is an incomptenet political idiot who has no qualification to run this organization. It is completely unacceptable not to be able to drop one single piece of food package to the superdome or the convention center in the past five days! The only agency who was able to perform so far was the coast guard. And people are sick and tired of hearing President Bush was forced to cut his five week vacation two days early! This is unbeliavable!," writes Yeshim Deniz in her blog this evening.

Deniz questioned and criticized our national priorities in her earlier blog entry after this week's hurricane disaster. She wrote, "We have higher priorities at home. I'm a registered Republican. I have attended your private fund raising dinner in Washington D.C. I have your and Laura Bush's autographed photos on my wall, Dick Cheney's framed dinner invitation letter (which I attended) on my office wall. I'm proudly carrying my Republican National Committee Membership card in my wallet. My entire extended family voted for you. Twice.

As I watch the historical devastation from the recent storm and watch the helpless victims in the hurricane effected areas, I realize that the help will be arriving very slowly to reach these people, partially because we screwed up our national priorities few years ago by getting involved with this Iraq mess!

What a hell are we doing in Iraq? Why are our sons, daughters, fathers and mothers getting killed every day in an Arab desert for no reason? Think about the amount of money we spent and we will continue to spend in Iraq to accomplish what? Why is it our business to teach democracy to a nation who has never heard what democracy is since Adam and Eve? Why is it our business to pick and choose a country and give democracy lesson to another nation by occupying them? What happened to our real priorities in finding the chief terrorist towel head in Afghanistan? What are we doing?

We are the most powerful country in the world and we intend to stay that way. Look at the images in the news channels tonight. It's a sin not to be able to give our best shot in helping our own people at a time like this. How will we convince the rest of the world to follow the leader? We hear and watch reports on television, we can't help our own people because most of the reserves are actually in Iraq.. Giving Iraqis democracy lessons.. What are our priorities?.. New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama.. or democracy dream in Bagdat and the Iraqi constitution? Who the hell cares about the constitution of Iraq? We care about what is going on in New Orleans and Mobile, Alabama tonight. Let's get our priorities straight. Please?"

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
