newScale, the self-service IT storefront people, is sending out its FrontOffice Suite to support Cisco's industry-alienating Unified Computing System (UCS). It says service providers and enterprises can now leverage the widgetry as a self-service portal to their Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions and private Cisco-powered clouds. newScale's software provides a web-based menu of standardized service packages and a unified IT storefront for data center services, managing both physical and virtual environments for any hypervisor stack.
