Geminare Incorporated on Tuesday announced the launch of the Cloud Storage Assurance 2.0 (CSA 2.0) platform, its next-generation cloud storage and archiving engine. With version 2.0, Geminare is delivering the industry's first auditable backup and archiving solution that can be integrated with major public cloud storage platforms. Geminare's cloud-based Recovery as a Service (RaaS) portfolio now ensures the preservation of data integrity while enabling low-cost, cloud-based secure data backup and recovery without the risks and restrictions associated with vendor lock-in.
"We are truly impressed with Geminare's latest development in cloud storage," said Dan Elder, vice president, IT and Infrastructure, Sprott Asset Management. "With each piece of archived data uniquely identified and referenced in audit reports, the integrity of our backup files will always be preserved. This essentially replaces the auditing and document storage technology we have today, and brings so much more to the table. We have had no issues in running Geminare's Cloud Recovery solution, so we're excited about incorporating this latest offering."
Geminare is the leading provider of Recovery as a Service solutions for the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) sector. The company's Cloud Recovery Server Replication service ensures the secure, continuous availability of mission-critical applications by replicating a customer's server environment in real-time to a cloud vendor of choice. The replicated environment engages seamlessly during system interruption or failure. CSA 2.0 is available through Geminare's Technology Partners, a network of cloud hosting and Telco providers, MSPs and VARs, as either a standalone solution or integrated into Geminare's Cloud Recovery offering. This new product significantly broadens the scope of cloud services by offering immediate and trusted access to archived data including emails -- anytime from anywhere.
"We have seen tremendous traction with our Recovery as a Service portfolio as businesses of all sizes see the value of replicating mission-critical data to a cloud environment for instant and automatic failover," said Joshua Geist, CEO of Geminare. "Delivering secure and reliable access to this data for more than just failover purposes was the next logical step. With CSA 2.0, Geminare is propelling the Data Protection and Server Replication market forward by allowing customers to select a cloud storage partner of choice for ongoing, automatic data and email archiving, all with zero upfront capital investment."
About Cloud Storage Assurance 2.0
Available through channel partners in Q3 2010, Cloud Storage Assurance 2.0 is a data storage and archiving engine that provides SMEs with a 360° backup strategy. CSA 2.0 gives businesses the flexibility of archiving and searching through an entire email and file backup environment with indexing and data integrity assurance. An intuitive, Web-based user interface offers complete control over archiving, searching and record auditing.
When used with Geminare Server Replication, SMEs for the first time have access to an industrial-strength business continuity solution coupled with automatic archiving, extremely fast search functions and built-in audit capabilities -- all without any capital investment. SMEs now have available a fast and reliable way of sorting and retrieving relevant information from the ever-growing data volumes, with assurance that the archived data has not been altered in any way. CSA search and auditing tools are ideal for addressing the typically arduous and time-consuming document management tasks of retrieving data and proving its authenticity, such as in the case of eDiscovery or proof of adherence to industry or government regulations.
