Flash-Based Rapid Integration Tool from Thawte Updated

Thawte-in-a-Box Specifically Focuses on the Enrollment Processes

"thawte in-a-box was developed in Flash to address the need for a light-weight, rapid integration mechanism which specifically focuses on the enrollment processes enabling end customers to purchase and renew our products," said Ilse Baxter, Director of Business Strategy, Sales and Marketing at thawte, Inc., as the company announced an important functional update to its flagship Flash-based rapid integration tool designed to allow a thawte Partner to resell digital certificates directly from the Partner's site.

"The latest functional enhancements now allow a Partner to configure thawte in-a-box to display for purchase any combination of products that are suitable to their customer base and launches thawte’s unique platform independent Code Signing Certificates for sale through this tool,” Baxter continued.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, thawte is one of the world's most established Certification Authorities - that's to say, a company that facilitates message encryption by managing security credentials and public keys worldwide.

Trusted since 1995, thawte has issued over 595,000 SSL and Code Signing Certificates and over 1,025,409 Personal E-mail Certificates since inception.

The company, which celebrates 10 years of trusted status later this year, supports 28 different languages and its customer base covers 172 different countries across the globe.

thawte in-a-box allows thawte’s Partners and Resellers to:

  • deploy the sale of digital certificates on their site quickly and cost effectively using Flash technology that is browser and platform independent.
  • make use of thawte’s API to conduct business on any website configured by the Partners and Resellers for this purpose.
  • extend this capability to their sub-referrers - Sub-referrers can, in turn, easily sell thawte products on behalf of the Partners and Resellers, who can monitor their activity through their account console. There is no limit to the number of sub-referrers a Reseller can have.
  • seamlessly benefit from all new products or enhancements launched by thawte without impact to the Reseller due to the underpinning Application Service Provider model it employs. The application is hosted by thawte and not the Partner or Reseller.

Never mind that we might not know what the future holds for cryptocurrencies and how much values will fluctuate or even how the process of mining a coin could cost as much as the value of the coin itself - cryptocurrency mining is a hot industry and shows no signs of slowing down. However, energy consumption to mine cryptocurrency is one of the biggest issues facing this industry. Burning huge amounts of electricity isn't incidental to cryptocurrency, it's basically embedded in the core of "mini...
The term "digital transformation" (DX) is being used by everyone for just about any company initiative that involves technology, the web, ecommerce, software, or even customer experience. Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...
