Diane Macedo of Fox News worked on Sofia's story for more than a month, studying documents, interviewing more than a dozen people, and fact-checking before publishing her news story on Monday and airing our interview.
On Monday, she also published a detailed article on Sofia that was picked up by a dozen or so media outlets around the world during the week.
▸ Fox News Story on Sofia's Abduction to Syria
When Sofia returns safely home, she will pay her first visit to Diane at the Fox News headquarters in New York City.
▸ US Leaves Its Youngest Citizen Behind Syria
The following is a short weekend "bedtime story" for my daughter while she still remains abducted in Syria.

One day, during his travels, Daddy found a "little green Swiss frog" on his bed as he arrived in his hotel room.
Daddy took the little green Swiss frog home to Sofia's day care in America to play with Sofia's little friends.
Sofia's little friends asked the little green Swiss frog where Sofia was :)

Of course the little green Swiss frog flew all the way to Syria to find Sofia :)

One day, when she woke up, Sofia saw the little green Swiss frog by her pillow :)

Sofia told the little green Swiss frog that she misses her friends at home too, very much :)
And she soon found out that when she squeezed the little green Swiss frog's little yellow crown, the little green Swiss frog talked to her too! :)

The little green Swiss frog told Sofia that she came all the way to Syria to bring her home!
Sofia said "yeaaayyy" :)
Now Daddy needs to find Mrs. Clinton despite her busy schedule to make this happen.
Unfortunately Mrs. Clinton thinks Uncle Bashar is a good uncle.
She works very hard, she is very tired, she doesn't know yet that Uncle Bashar is a very naughty big boy.
So, Daddy will have to work even harder to explain to the big boys and big girls in Washington, DC, that both Sofia and her little green Swiss frog want to come home, very soon!
Love,
--Daddy
P.S. - This week AP reported that "State Dept. issued travel warning on Syria" and on Monday Reuters filed a follow-up report that "US offers free flights out for employees in Syria."
As of this Saturday, and since July 2010, my abducted daughter Sofia Kircaali, a US citizen, remains in Syria and in harm's way.
On Friday, I watched videos on the Internet showing violence inside a mosque one block away from where Sofia currently lives with her mother and grandmother.
