AppZero OS-Free App Delivery – to Cloud, in Datacenter, on Upgraded OS

Application virtualization innovator kicks off ISV focus

Application virtualization innovator AppZero has announced a series of initiatives designed to match its patented technology to the most universal business needs of ISVs. Top among those felt needs are: 1) the labor-intensive pre-sales demo and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities, and 2) an interest to move applications to and from numerous clouds according to customer preferences.

AppZero will back up its claim to be the fastest and most flexible way to move server applications to and from any machine with a program aimed specifically to ISVs. Debuting a PoC for PoCs, AppZero will make a no-charge offer to qualified ISVs to provide the software and professional services that will allow the instant provisioning of PoCs and demos - on customer premises and any cloud.

"Being technologically elegant and well ahead of the market curve is nothing without old-fashioned practicality. That's the point we're proving here," said Greg O'Connor, AppZero CEO. "AppZero is delivering high impact solutions in a way that is compelling to ISVs. We PoC our capabilities by provisioning their PoCs -- wherever their customers want. They see the difference and do their own math ... we don't have to say a thing."

The company has scheduled a technical webinar titled: OS-free Windows and Linux server application delivery for instant provisioning for June 23.

About AppZero
AppZero virtualizes applications for ease of distribution and deployment.  AppZero's patented software packages Windows, Linux, and Solaris applications in OS-free Virtual Application Appliances (VAA) for rapid provisioning: across a network, on any server (physical or virtual), in the data center, hosted, or in any cloud, with near-native performance.  First to market virtualizing server applications, the company also offers a Windows desktop version.  For more information, visit www.AppZero.com and follow Greg O'Connor on twitter @gregoryjoconnor.

The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers.
