Medical Diagnostic Associates, a Medical Corporation (MDIA), a national leader in providing network diagnostic imaging (MRI and CT) and electrodiagnostic (EMG and NCV) services, is expanding its services in the Midwest and participating in the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Preferred Provider Program (PPP).
MDIA offers ElectRIS® by MDIA, the Electronic Diagnostic Record (EDR), which complements the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to afford a complete Electronic Health Record (EHR). This new state-of-the-art cloud access technology provides examination access immediately after the study is performed, allowing real-time, simultaneous review and consultations by all concerned parties. MDIA is the only physician-owned national diagnostic imaging network provider able to transfer and archive complete diagnostic imaging examinations and reports expeditiously to a secure HIPAA-compliant website, available for retrieval, review, conferencing, and AME/IME/Peer Review.
Jack Weinberg, Chief Operating Officer for MDIA, states, “Demand is growing for the EDR, and MDIA works closely with its clients to expand the benefits facilitated by this methodology. Availability of the EDR affords many opportunities to establish new quality standards in the areas of diagnostic imaging.”
Gail M. Schlesinger, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MDIA, adds, “The cost of repeating lost diagnostic imaging examinations accounts for an estimated 20 percent of diagnostic imaging expenditures.”
MDIA, as an innovator and leader in its field, anticipates success by maximizing the values of a true EDR to optimize patient care, eliminate redundancy, and contain costs for its expanding client base.
