Layer 7 Technologies, a leading provider of Application Gateways for SOA integration, cloud connectivity and API management, today announced that it will be aggressively expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. To support this effort, Layer 7 has brought on Colman McCaffery as Regional Sales Director for the APAC market. McCaffery, based in Sydney, Australia, will be leading sales efforts in Australia and New Zealand and building out Layer 7’s APAC team over the course of 2012.
McCaffery joins Layer 7 with a strong sales and management background in both SOA and security middleware. Prior to joining Layer 7, McCaffery spent four years with Oracle selling SOA and Identity Management solutions. He also gained valuable and relevant market experience working with BEA Systems, CA and Sun Microsystems in similar roles.
Serving as the Regional Sales Director for APAC, McCaffery will work closely with existing Layer 7 channel partners in the area. Together, they will help create inroads with enterprise customers and establish the company as the de facto solution provider for SOA gateways, API management, cloud and mobile integration needs.
“Layer 7 continued its tremendous streak of growth in 2011, and reached its third consecutive year of profitability,” said Jeff Miller, vice president of sales at Layer 7 Technologies. “Now, with our expansion into Asia-Pacific, and the addition of Colman, we’re confident our momentum will be sustained. We expect Colman and his team to quickly establish Layer 7 as the desired solution for SOA, cloud and mobile integration needs in APAC, a market we consider to be key and rapidly expanding.”
