REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- Pano Logic, the leader in zero client desktop virtualization (VDI), today announced that Ready Informatica S.r.l of Italy has become an authorized Pano Logic distributor, joining the growing ranks globally of Pano Logic resellers. In addition to helping end users directly, Ready Informatica will team with the growing network of Pano resellers that assist organizations with radically centralizing desktop computing with the Pano System and slashing their total cost of ownership (TCO).
"Pano Logic completes our strategy for the small and medium-sized business, a market that represents more than 50 percent of total IT spending in Italy," Marco Lorefice, vice president of marketing, Ready Informatica, said. "Pano Logic will be positioned particularly in combination with Microsoft's Hyper-V, a technology that will grow dramatically in the Italian SMB market. As a high value added distributor, Ready Informatica will establish Pano Logic in Italy by offering training, technical and sales support and marketing programs."
Pano Logic's purpose-built zero client solution for desktop virtualization is sold through strategic channel partners that have core expertise in virtual infrastructure. Many have also invested in Pano Logic technical certification and sales training, learning to assess, deploy and optimize Pano Logic across a range of network infrastructures. Partners ensure that Pano Logic pilot programs are deployed successfully and provide the guidance needed to calculate TCO to achieve buy-in within the organization.
"Ready Informatica is an established value added distributor ideally positioned to help Pano Logic expand our zero client computing presence in Italy," Thomas Bauer, head of international sales and channels, Pano Logic, said. "They can deliver everything a customer needs, from infrastructure solutions to security offerings, to virtualization infrastructure and storage solutions. We value especially their ability to create a solid market and strong channel in Italy. The company's services are well suited for our joint channel ecosystem, which features pre-sales, sales and post-sales support and complementary training."
The Pano System is a complete end-to-end, hardware-and-software virtual desktop solution that independently interoperates with all three leading hypervisors (vSphere, XenServer, Hyper-V) and their management systems (VMware View, XenDesktop, Microsoft SCVMM). It represents the only true zero client desktop virtualization solution on the market with a solid-state device that has no processor, no storage, no memory and no operating system. As a result, it completely eliminates endpoint management, fully enabling the benefits of centralized management with a cloud-ready device. Pano Logic zero client devices consume 97 percent less power than PCs, 50 percent less power than thin clients and do not store data locally, fully eliminating endpoint security liabilities.
