SRA to Provide Operations Support for FBI’s ORION Program

SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations, today announced that it has received the sole award for the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) operational response and investigative online network (ORION) program. The award includes one base year plus seven options for one year each, and carries a value of $19 million if all options are exercised.

ORION is the FBI’s next generation crisis information management system. It provides case management and related information-processing capabilities in support of federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies in coordinated response to a crisis, during a special event or critical incident. Such events could include political conventions, high-profile sporting events and/or terrorist attacks.

“We are proud of the confidence the FBI has shown in SRA over the last 13 years and look forward to continuing our work together to ensure the safety of the American public,” said Vice President of Law Enforcement and Justice Programs Jim McClave. “This project is indicative of the mission-focused IT work being performed by SRA’s intelligence, homeland security and law enforcement professionals every day.”

Under the terms of the contract, SRA International will provide operations and maintenance support, program management and other product development support for the system.
