SMEStorage has delivered its Cloud File Server product to be used by customers who have provisioned HP Cloud Services.
Customers can take advantage of the SME hybrid Cloud File Server solution combined with HP Cloud Object Storage. The Cloud File Server features a multi-tenant file server solution for teams with a rich web interface and native clients that include Mac, Windows, Linux and all mobile devices. Other features include User management, secure files sharing, access control lists, file locking, and e-compliance and event auditing options.

The SMEStorage hybrid Cloud File Server differentiates HP Cloud Object Storage by providing a traditional file server overlay that includes a native Cloud Drive for Windows, Mac and Linux desktops, as well as powerful synchronization solutions. Clients also exist for iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Phone 7, with a rich HTML5 mobile clients available for other clients such as the HP Touchpad.
The solution features the ability to work with HP Cloud Object Storage data whilst still providing features such as file locking, user permissions and management, event auditing, and even integration with Active Directory domains for those businesses that need it.
