Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company, today announced a distribution partnership with Norbain SD and the expansion of its distribution channel into the United Kingdom and Ireland. Norbain is widely recognized as one of Europe’s most successful distributors of CCTV, IP Video, Access Control and Intruder Detection equipment.
The partnership will extend the reach of Intransa’s open platform server, storage and appliances to the European market. Intransa’s video-optimized platforms are built for the unique demands of video security and are integrated with its security-oriented services portfolio for affordable and simplified local installations as well as for use in advanced cloud deployments.
"Our European expansion is in direct response to the accelerated demand for open, IP-based security products around the globe," said Bud Broomhead, CEO, Intransa. "The security industry is changing quickly due to the flexibility of IP and customers are increasingly looking to companies that have easy-to-use, reliable platforms. Our flexible products enable customers to install security platforms that are scalable and competitively priced."
Suitable for individual deployments or as a scalable, cloud-based infrastructure, Intransa platforms deliver high definition (HD) video optimized servers and storage. Intransa’s platforms are designed to be affordable for single project security deployments with just a small number of IP cameras and a few days of recording, yet can scale cost-efficiently and easily to meet the big data needs of projects with hundreds or even thousands of cameras and months to years of video recording capacity.
“Intransa has a strong track record of delivering video optimized server and storage platforms for the IP video surveillance market,” said Andrew Pigram, technical director, Norbain. “And, we are consistently searching for the best technologies. Intransa’s server, storage and appliance platforms allow us to capture new market opportunities and launching its IP product portfolio into Europe is a key part of that strategy.”
Intransa platforms include Intransa’s GroundCrew Phone-home Warranty and companion Intransa CoPilot 24-Hour Customer Support, plus optional Intransa Pilot Proactive Monitoring. Intransa's award-winning products and services offer a complete infrastructure solution to meet a wide range of physical security needs, with a wide range of certified VMS, access control, and video analytics applications from the security industry’s leading software vendors.
More information on the Intransa and Norbain partnership can be found at the Norbain booth # Hall 5 D20 at IFSEC, May 14-17, 2012, in NEC Birmingham, UK.
