Gemalto und Standard Chartered Bank kündigen erste Masseneinführung von Display-Zahlungskarten an

Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), der Weltmarktführer in digitaler Sicherheit, und die Standard Chartered Bank, ein führendes Finanzinstitut, kündigen die erste Masseneinführung einer Displaykartenlösung in Singapur an. Die in Zusammenarbeit mit Nagra ID Security entwickelte Ezio onCard PAD & PAY von Gemalto vereinigt zwei Lösungen in einem Gerät. Sie ist mit einem kleinen LCD-Display ausgestattet und kombiniert EMV-Zahlungen, Einmalpasswörter (OTP) und Transaktionssignaturen im E-Banking. Im Rahmen seines Komplettangebots liefert Gemalto der Standard Chartered Bank darüber hinaus den Authentifizierungsserver und sorgt für die Personalisierung, Erfüllung und Projektumsetzung. Insbesondere die Kartenpersonalisierung wird in den zertifizierten Bankeinrichtungen von Gemalto mit dem gleichen hohen Sicherheitsniveau durchgeführt, mit dem das Unternehmen EMV-Zahlungskarten bearbeitet.

Ezio onCard PAD & PAY kombiniert Gemaltos Fachkompetenzen in der Herstellung von Zahlungskarten und Tokens. Das Ergebnis ist ein innovatives Konvergenzprodukt, das den Kunden der Standard Chartered Bank eine reichere Nutzererfahrung liefert. Den Nutzern stehen drei Konfigurationen zur Auswahl: eine eigenständige Tokenkarte, eine Tokenkarte mit Barabhebung am Geldautomaten oder eine Tokenkarte mit Geldautomatennutzung und Kreditkartenfunktion. Dies fördert die Nutzung der Karten sowie ihren Stellenwert in der Brieftasche der Kunden.

Standard Chartered ist eine führende internationale Bankengruppe mit einer starken Präsenz in Asien, Afrika und dem Nahen Osten. Die Karte wird für alle Bankkunden in Singapur erhältlich sein und entspricht den Anforderungen der singapurischen Finanzbehörde, nach denen alle Online-Banking-Kunden ab Januar 2013 neue Sicherheitstokens verwenden müssen, die zur Transaktionssignatur fähig sind. In naher Zukunft will Standard Chartered auch kontaktlose Funktionen in die Tokenkarten integrieren.
