RingPlus’s Babel Fish machine translation during telephone calls enables you to speak with people all over the world in their native language. The universal-translator from Star Trek, or the Babel Fish from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, are not science fiction anymore; they have become a reality with RingPlus. The new mobile telecom start-up, banking on leading the market through advanced technology, shows off what can now be done. It took them years to create what, in today’s tech market, is called “over the top applications” and “cloud,” but today they have laid the ground work for any new in-call and pre-call media. Each new application is developed fast as lightning speed within roughly two months. Understand this, these are not small developments; these are big paradigm shifts in technology. Just this holiday season, they showed what a social network should look like with their Mixcess Platform over the ring back tone. The first interactive RBT platform worldwide, which allows members to share music and other content during the time before a call is answered. Today, the startup announced the in-call translation service, which will be available in early 2013 on any kind of phone over their network. This service is a machine translation during an actual phone call, allowing people to speak with each other across multiple languages. The translation is simultaneous, utilizing only the voice and audio components. For more information about RingPlus, please go to www.ringplus.net. Phones are currently available for purchase on the website and at Image Wireless near the UCLA campus, Los Angeles.
So be ready for March 11, 2013. The day where the world can speak as one.
