Allegiant Systems Inc. präsentiert mit FlyDesk™ eine revolutionäre mobile Tablet-Lösung zur Automatisierung des Flugbetriebs

Heute gibt Allegiant Systems Inc. die Markteinführung von FlyDesk™ bekannt, einer cloud-basierten Unternehmenssoftwarelösung für Fluggesellschaften. Diese soll dazu dienen, Abläufe an Bord zu automatisieren, neue Umsatzmöglichkeiten zu schaffen und die Kundenzufriedenheit zu verbessern, ohne dass hierdurch höhere Kosten entstehen.

In den letzten Jahren wurden iPads zu Testzwecken verstärkt in den inneramerikanischen Flugbetrieb der Fluglinien Alaska, American und United integriert. Inzwischen nutzen schätzungsweise bereits 30.000 Piloten diese Technologie während des Flugs. Bei FlyDesk handelt es sich um die erste schlüsselfertige Lösung, die sowohl die notwendige Software als auch die erforderliche Hardware umfasst und es den Fluggesellschaften auf diese Weise ermöglicht, komplexe Automatisierungsprojekte mittels der iPad-Tablet-Technologie zu lösen.

Zunächst unterstützt FlyDesk die betrieblichen Abläufe der Flugbegleiter mittels FlyDesk Cabin, einer Lösung, die Handbücher digitalisiert, das Berichtwesen automatisiert sowie sichere E-Mail-Dienste bietet. FlyDesk Cabin wurde entwickelt, um den speziellen Anforderungen von Fluggesellschaften gerecht zu werden. Die Lösung ermöglicht einen „papierlosen" Betrieb, was das Gewicht an Bord verringert, Aktualisierungen erleichtert und den Treibstoffverbrauch und damit einhergehende Kosten senkt. Vier Fluglinien werden ab Dezember 2012 die FlyDesk Cabin-Lösung flottenweit einführen.
