Ozone Widget Framework to be on GitHub, GAO sees $2.3B in undeserved justification and more

  • Ozone Widget Framework to be on GitHub now by year’s end - The Ozone Widget Framework is an open source project that allows developers to create lightweight applications that draw from pooled data.   • GAO: $2.3 billion in 8(a) contracts awarded without justification - According to a GAO report, the federal government awarded more than $2.3 billion in sole-source contracts to 8(a) companies in fiscal year 2010 without the proper justifications thanks to a lag in updating the federal acquisition regulation.
