Channelinsight Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Zyme Solutions, Inc.

DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/17/12 -- Channelinsight today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Zyme Solutions, Inc. for unspecified damages. The lawsuit alleges that Zyme Solutions is infringing on Channelinsight's patent entitled Automated Channel Market Data Extraction, Validation and Transformation, U.S. Patent No. 8,296,258 B2. The suit was filed in the United States District Court in Denver, Colorado.

"We filed this case for a very simple reason," said Robert Smith, CEO of Channelinsight. "Channelinsight's intellectual property is being unfairly exploited in the sales of Zyme's channel data solution to customers. Channelinsight is one of the world's leading creators of intellectual property surrounding the usage of channel sales data, and one of the most progressive in embracing new, highly collaborative ways of driving and managing channel sales data for Fortune 500 High Tech companies. Everything we do is premised on the fundamental principle that Channelinsight's intellectual property is one of our core assets, and represents the work product of tens of thousands of man hours by our engineers and millions of dollars of investment."
