SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/17/12 -- Seculert, the cloud-based advanced threat detection company, today announced the appointment of Ken Paiboon as Vice President Sales, Americas. Ken has an extensive track record in enterprise security and business strategy and will be leading the company's sales operations in the Americas.
Ken joins Seculert from Israeli data security vendor Imperva, where he was one of the first US based employees. During his eight-year tenure with the company he held several positions within sales, most recently serving as the VP of Sales for the Americas. Ken led the Americas sales organization through the company's successful initial public offering, driving all initiatives and strategy in the department. Prior to Imperva, Ken spent six years with OPNET Technologies, which specializes in deep data collection, analytics and root cause diagnosis for application and network performance management.
Launched in 2011, Seculert is a cloud-based advanced threat detection company that discovers malware and Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) that have gone undetected by bypassing existing security solutions. Seculert operates with no software or appliances, resulting in a low total cost of ownership. Because Seculert intercepts and collects actual communications between a customer's network and live botnets, there are no false positives. In July 2012, the company announced it had secured $5.35 million in funding and plans to expand its presence in the U.S.
"We are very happy to have added a seasoned veteran like Ken to our growing team," said Dudi Matot, CEO of Seculert. "He will not only help tell our story, he will help educate companies on the ever-changing threat landscape of malware attacks. Ken will help lead our vision in our expansive network in the Americas, using our foundational expertise in real-time cloud-based malware attack detection."
