iTunes 11 has been out for a while now. While it is, for the most part, really great, there are still a few things I find weird or unusual about it. One such instance is how prominently iCloud songs are featured in my library, even when that music is no longer on my computer. As Apple encourages users to sign up for iTunes Match and to use their iCloud service, the prominence of features like these will only become more apparent. But how do you hide those pesky iCloud songs that are no longer on your hard drive? It’s pretty simple, actually: Go into your iTunes Preferences and click on the “Store” tab. From there, uncheck “Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases.” No longer will albums you may have purchased, decided you didn’t like, and then deleted show up in your iTunes. Your library should be back to the way it was – full of the music you know, love and want to listen to.
