AVG Technologies bekroond door Business Solutions Magazine als 2013 Best Channel Vendor voor beveiligingstechnologie

AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG), de leverancier van internet- en mobiele beveiliging voor 143 miljoen actieve gebruikers, heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat het erkend werd als Best Channel Vendor 2013 in de categorie beveiligingstechnologie door Business Solutions Magazine (BSM). De prijs is gebaseerd op stemmen van het VAR lezerspubliek van BSM.

AVG, dat zijn nieuwe AVG CloudCare™ IT-management-platform voor kleine bedrijven en diensten voor het SMB-channel in het najaar van 2012 onder lofbetuigingen uitbracht, verdiende zijn meeste punten in de lezersenquête van BSM VAR voor produkteigenschappen, betrouwbaarheid en innovatie. AVG CloudCare biedt kleine wederverkopers en dienstverleners (MSP's) een kosteloze, eenvoudig te gebruiken, op de cloud-gebaseerd administratief platform dat hen in staat stelt om op afstand de bekroonde antivirus en content-filtering diensten van AVG tegen een betaalbare prijs voor hun hele klantenbestand via een enkel console te beheren. AVG CloudCare bevat AVG Remote IT (momenteel als betaversie verkrijgbaar), een ander gratis tool waartoe wederverkopers op afstand en vanaf elke locatie toegang kunnen krijgen om problemen op te lossen op de apparaten van hun klanten.

Naast productprestaties gaf de BSM VAR enquête ook hoge cijfers aan de AVG channel programma's, klantenondersteuning en -diensten en channel-vriendelijkheid.

BSM enquêtemethoden

Van half september tot begin oktober voerde BSM een webgebaseerde enquête uit onder zijn VAR-abonnees in samenwerking met Penn State University. BSM vroeg VAR-abonnees om hun leveranciers op een schaal van 0 tot 5 (slechtste tot beste) te beoordelen in 7 categorieën: Service/ondersteuning, channel vriendelijkheid, channel programma's, producteigenschappen, betrouwbaarheid van het product, productinnovatie en VAR-marges. Er werden in totaal 7.505 gevalideerde stemmen uitgebracht in de enquête. Scores werden door de redactie van BSM opgeteld met behulp van de methode van Penn State. Prijscategorieën waren onder meer: Gegevensverzameling en mobiliteit; gegevensverzameling voor labelingssoftware; ECM hardware; ECM software; algemene computing; netwerken; verwerking van betalingen; fysieke beveiliging; POS-hardware; POS-software; bescherming tegen stroomuitval; PSA's, RMM-software; beveiliging; opslag en VoIP. De top 5% van de leveranciers in elke ondervraagde technologiecategorie werden als Best Channel Vendors gekozen. AVG werd in de categorie beveiligingstechnologie gekozen met een totale score van 4,42.
