KDDI si affida alla tecnologia CDN mobile di CDNetworks

La nuova tecnologia mobile per reti di distribuzione dei contenuti (CDN) di CDNetworks è stata adottata da KDDI, il 2° maggiore operatore di reti mobili del Giappone. La tecnologia CDN mobile di CDNetworks è stata integrata nel nucleo della rete della KDDI australiana 4G LTE e 3G dopo una serie di test qualitativi effettuati a partire dallo scorso dicembre.

La tecnologia CDN mobile di CDNetworks consente agli operatori di reti mobili (Mobile Network Operators, MNO) di incrementare fino al 30% la velocità di distribuzione dei contenuti, nonché ridurre fino al 20% il traffico dati su dispositivi mobili.1

La tecnologia CDN mobile di CDNetworks riduce significativamente il traffico dati sui dispositivi mobili che sta crescendo in modo esponenziale in conseguenza della diffusione degli smartphone. La tecnologia CDN mobile migliora inoltre l'esperienza degli utenti grazie all'accelerazione delle reti di accesso radio (Radio Access Network, RAN). I vantaggi summenzionati sono resi possibili attraverso l'implementazione delle seguenti tecnologie:

1) Compressione del testo, con conseguente riduzione del traffico di dati sui dispositivi mobili senza alcuna modifica dei contenuti

2) Video pacing, che consente di ridurre lo scaricamento progressivo di video eccessivo

3) Accelerazione TCP, che viene calibrata in modo preciso in funzione dell'ambiente di rete dell'operatore mobile

Attraverso l'impiego della tecnologia CDN mobile di CDNetworks gli operatori di reti mobili potranno avvantaggiarsi di un'ingente riduzione delle spese in conto capitale oltre a incrementare notevolmente il livello di soddisfazione degli utenti.
