Des informatiques innovantes existent en France, j'en ai rencontré une...

 

Logo OxylanePour mon deuxième billet de l’année, j’ai le grand plaisir de pouvoir parler de manière très positive et optimiste de l’informatique dans les entreprises françaises ; merci, Oxylane !

Oxylane ? ce nom ne vous dit rien ? Vous les connaissez certainement mieux sous le nom de Décathlon, leur marque phare.

Logo IT day OxylaneJ’ai eu l’honneur d’être invité par les responsables informatiques d’Oxylane, le 12/12/12, pour faire une conférence d’une heure pendant La “journée IT”.

Ce n’est pas la première fois ; en janvier 2009, j’avais animé un séminaire pour les équipes informatiques internes d’Oxylane. Peut-être que certaines des innovations que j’ai pu découvrir lors de cette réunion ont été, un peu, influencées par mes interventions précédentes...

 

Innovation dans l’organisation de la journée IT

Salle IT days OxylaneOxylane avait organisé un salon “interne” de l’informatique innovante, avec des dizaines de stands où des collaborateurs des équipes informatiques internes d’Oxylane démontraient quelques unes de leurs dernières créations, aussi bien pour les usages métiers que pour les applications transverses.

Plusieurs centaines de personnes, venant de tous les métiers d’Oxylane, ont visités ce salon.

J’ai fait le tour de ce salon, accueilli à chaque fois par des informaticiens passionnés et fiers de montrer les applications qu’ils avaient réalisées.

Quelques conférences avaient lieu en même temps, auxquelles étaient invités aussi bien des “clients” de l’informatique interne que les informaticiens Oxylane.

 

Innovation dans le thème choisi pour ma conférence

Nous avions choisi, ensemble, le thème de mon intervention, qui a duré une heure :

"Cloud Computing, mobilité, comment les nouvelles technologies informatiques vont permettre aux clients, utilisateurs et informaticiens d'Oxylane d'être plus efficaces, ensemble."

Le mot clef est bien sur le dernier, “ensemble”.

Entre 200 et 300 personnes étaient dans la salle ; il y avait à peu près le même nombre d’informaticiens et de clients métiers.

 

Innovation dans la structure interne de la DSI

Oxylane a mis en œuvre une structure de la DSI, organisée en “Business Units” spécialisées :

  • Applications métiers par grands domaines d’activité : logistique, retail, marques...
  • Usages transverses : communication et collaboration, finances, Ressources Humaines ...
  • Techniques : infrastructures, hébergement, normes et méthodes..

Structure DSI Industrielle - copieIl y a beaucoup de points communs avec ce que j’ai écrit très récemment sur la structure d’une DSI dans le monde de la R2I, Révolution Industrielle Informatique, ce qui confirme que les idées présentées dans ce blog sont très proches du monde réel des entreprises innovantes.

 

Innovation dans les usages métiers

Oxylane précommande smartphoneDe très nombreuses applications “métiers”, liées aux activités de distribution d’Oxylane. Certaines d’entre elles, encore à l’état de prototypes, sont impressionnantes mais Oxylane, et je le comprends, ne souhaite pas que je communique sur le sujet.

L’une d’entre elles est en cours de déploiement et je peux la présenter. Elle permet à un client, à partir de son smartphone, de faire sa commande en “self-service” pendant sa visite du magasin. Pour chaque produit qu’il souhaite acquérir, il prend en photo le “flash code” et construit lui-même sa facture. Il peut ainsi savoir à tout instant quel est le montant de ses achats et respecter son budget. Sur cette “préfacture”, il y a un code qu’il lui suffit de présenter à la caissière pour qu’elle lui imprime directement la facture définitive, ce qui est un gain de temps pour tout le monde.

 

Innovation dans les usages transverses

De très nombreuses applications simples et originales étaient présentées ; j’en ai choisi deux, liées à la vie quotidienne des collaborateurs :

Oxylane appli smartpath carte- L’application “smartpath”, qu permet d’établir une cartographie des “distances-temps” entre les établissements d’Oxylane et les villes et villages environnants.

C’est en priorité une application “métier” qui permet aux services immobiliers d’Oxylane, avant l’achat d’un nouveau site, de calculer le nombre d’habitants situés à 10, 15 ou 20 minutes de voiture du site.

Ces courbes isochrones n’ont rien à voir avec la distance kilométrique ; elles sont calculées avec l’aide des collaborateurs qui enregistrent leurs déplacements sur leurs smartphones.

Elle permet aussi à un collaborateur de mieux choisir un appartement ou une maison, en sachant à l’avance quel sera son temps de transport vers le site en question.

Oxylane Carshare app images 1 & 2- Une application de co-voiturage, CarShare, mobile évidemment, permettant aux collaborateurs d’Oxylane de trouver ou proposer un co-voiturage. Dans les métiers d’Oxylane, de nombreuses personnes ont des horaires très différents et changeants ; cette application permet, en temps réel, de trouver des collaborateurs qui auront, au même moment, des destinations proches.

 

Innovation en communication et collaboration, “Participatique”

Comme toutes les entreprises innovantes normales, Oxylane a remplacé ses outils antédiluviens (Exchange en l’occurence) par la seule véritable solution Cloud / SaaS du marché, Google Apps.

Ce qui est très positif, et encourageant pour moi, car c’est un thème que j’avais abordé dans mon blog, c’est qu’Oxylane a mis en place le changement “organisationnel” important permettant à tous ses collaborateurs d’avoir une boîte mail à leur nom. La grande majorité des collaborateurs, qu’ils soient en magasin, en entrepôt ou au siège ont une adresse email sur “oxylane.com”.

Le basculement sur la solution Google Apps a fortement facilité l’accès de tous en mode Web, en particulier depuis des objets mobiles.

 

Innovation dans les techniques de développement

J’ai pu aussi rencontrer des représentants des équipes de développement qui ont “tout compris” et mettent en œuvre les grands principes modernes de construction d’applications :

Responsive-webdesign

  • Mobile first : la cible prioritaire est un objet mobile avec un écran de petite taille.
  • HTML5 : pour éviter de réécrire des dizaines de fois la même application pour des plateformes différentes telles que iOS, Android, Windows ou MacOS.
  • Responsive design : permet à une page Web de s’adapter dynamiquement à la taille des écrans sur lesquelles elle s’affiche.

 

Résumé

Nombre magasins OxylaneEn 2013, j’espère pouvoir, très souvent, parler aussi positivement des équipes informatiques d’entreprises françaises.

J’allais oublier : Oxylane est une “PME" française de plus de 50 000 collaborateurs, présente dans 20 pays et dont le Chiffre d’Affaires 2011 a dépassé les 6,5 milliards d’euros, plus de 50 % étant réalisé à l’international.
