Bowie, MD, January 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- TechnoSource, LLC, announced today that it is one of 17 companies awarded blanket purchase agreements (BPA) to provide email as a service (EaaS) from the U.S. General Services Administration. Among the awardees, TechnoSource is the only company providing U.S. pricing for Microsoft’s Office 365 government community cloud (GCC).
Under the agreement, TechnoSource will compete for task orders to provide offerings within the government community for Email as a Service (EaaS) (billed per mailbox), office automation, electronic records management, and integration services, with security requirements at the FISMA moderate-impact level via the government community cloud (GCC) model using the Microsoft platform.
The BPA, with an estimated total contract value of $2.5 billion for all companies, has multi-fold significance: it helps agencies fulfill their mandate to meet the President’s Cloud First policy to adopt cloud services for enterprise applications; and it enables them to use small business set-asides on GSA Schedules, along with small business preference.
“This BPA allows government entities to speed up their acquisition of email services in the cloud and save money by taking advantage of the pre-competed pricing already in place,” said Gus Echevarria, TechnoSource’s chief executive officer. “Just as in the commercial space, government agencies need to provide their mobile workers with email access from anywhere and manage licenses and deployments efficiently and securely,” Echevarria added.
Since 1999, TechnoSource has been a leading provider of technology solutions supporting programs of national importance. Their offerings on GSA schedule cover a wide array of products and services, including business improvement, information technology, homeland security, program management, systems integration, logistics, environmental management, communications and marketing, engineering energy, financial management, and telecommunications.
