Empower Software Solutions, a leading provider of workforce and human resources (HR) solutions, has announced a number of new enhancements aimed at improving usability and mobile functionality in the company’s workforce management solution, EmpowerWFM™. Additional task management integration capabilities and functionality to support employee shift trades are also part of the 2013 release. The company will display enhancements at the Empower Software booth during the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) BIG Show in New York today and tomorrow.
EmpowerWFM’s new user interface has been designed to be compatible across all browsers and fully deployable on tablets. It features new dashboard screens and a series of tools that aid in the usability of the solution. Additionally, new mobile functionality for managers and employees has been included as part of the release. Mobile capabilities are compatible with iOS, Windows and Android devices.
Integration to Empower Software’s task management solution, EmpowerTask™, is also a core update in EmpowerWFM. The 2013 release allows clients to integrate tasks into individual manager to-do lists, provide visibility to task hours during the schedule tune-up/publish process, link tasks into enterprise data exchange mechanisms, and integrate task-driven labor and volume driven labor into a single scheduling run.
Currently, EmpowerWFM supports employee to employee trades of shifts using the solution’s schedule optimization engine and employee self-service components. The 2013 release will offer functionality for bulletin board posting of two-way shift trades, bulletin posting of one-way trades and automatic approval of paid-time-off requests.
“Our large enterprise clients, specifically retailers, asked for a wider range of mobile and task management capabilities in EmpowerWFM and we believe this release augments our current capabilities in those areas,” says Joe Olson, EVP and General Manager of Enterprise Workforce Management.
NRF attendees can learn about the new enhancements by visiting Empower Software at booth number 2267 today and tomorrow. For those not attending the show, email info@empowersoftware.com for more information.
