ATLANTA - January 17, 2013 - Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in application enablement for service providers, has been appointed by Monaco Telecom to implement its CAFÉ platform to replace the service provider's current fixed-line and mobile voicemail services.
As part of the new relationship Movius will replace the fixed-line service with a feature rich voicemail service and the mobile service with its Visual Voicemail (VVM) service for Android and iPhone. Around 70,000 Monaco Telecom subscribers will benefit from the roll-out.
Movius Visual Voicemail allows users to see a list of messages using their Smartphone and simply click to listen to the specific message and instantly listen to it. The application supports Android and Blackberry devices and was recently made compatible with the iPhone, allowing operators to cover a larger customer base.
Martin Péronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, said: "As we grow it is crucial for us to provide our customers with new applications and services, quickly, to remain competitive in the market. Our relationship with Movius allows us to upgrade our services and roll-out relevant applications to our subscribers using one platform, with the potential for future growth, making it a more economical solution for us."
Monaco Telecom will also host the Movius European CAFÉ Cloud solution, allowing other European service providers to utilize the CAFÉ platform from its hosted service, and roll it out to their end users. CAFÉ lends itself to multiple applications and the cloud environment will allow service providers to deploy applications remotely and efficiently.
"Operators in this day and age need to be cutting-edge and provide their customers with what they want when they want it, while watching their cost base," added Dominic Gomez, President & CEO, Movius. "The cloud solution is the perfect answer to this and by hosting the service and upgrading its current voicemail applications, Monaco Telecom is displaying the innovation and forward-thinking required by operators to remain at the top of their game."
