DIGITALK Limited, Milton Keynes, UK, 29 January, 2013
DIGITALK, a trusted vendor of Carrier, Consumer and Mobile solutions to retail and wholesale communications service providers worldwide, today announced the launch of the DIGITALK Consumer Cloud, a hosted environment enabling service providers to offer prepaid consumer applications without any infrastructure investment. Consumer Cloud applications include Broadband Telephony for residential VoIP services, Prepaid Cards for disposable calling card services, and Prepaid Residential for PINless calling and indirect access services. The DIGITALK Consumer Cloud enables service providers to launch, extend and expand prepaid consumer services without having to acquire, install or maintain any platform equipment.
DIGITALK has a well-established pedigree as a vendor of solutions for large-scale consumer services, ranging from prepaid calling cards through PINless calling to primary line residential IP telephony. DIGITALK solutions include full service and customer management capabilities, so that service providers can launch rapidly and control their own products, features and prices. With the Consumer Cloud, DIGITALK is making these capabilities available on a fully hosted networking and service management facility, making it even simpler to establish and grow prepaid consumer services.
Justin Norris, DIGITALK co-founder and CEO, commented "We're extremely pleased to be launching the Consumer Cloud, following the successful introduction of our Carrier Cloud service in 2012. This provides our customers with a new and cost-effective approach to establish and grow their prepaid consumer services, without having to house or manage any platform equipment. We see Cloud services as the best option for many service providers and are actively working to offer the best available Carrier and Consumer Cloud solutions on the market."
DIGITALK Cloud includes full power, bandwidth, maintenance, backup and upgrade facilities, supported by 24x7 SLAs, so significantly reduces operating expenditures. At the same time, Consumer Cloud service capacity can be scaled flexibly as demand grows, including support for short-term traffic spikes. As a result, service providers can focus entirely on their services and business, delivering immediate returns.
