New data centres in Hong Kong, Sydney, Amsterdam and Silicon Valley expand flexible IaaS service to thousands of new customers
London, UK February 5th, 2013: Elastichosts, the Cloud Server provider, has today announced the launch of four new data centres in Asia, Australasia, Europe and US. Elastichosts is now able to provide its easy-to-use, pay-as-you-go Cloud Servers to an international base of new and existing customers; whether they are operating solely in these territories, or looking for local Cloud Servers for their global operations. Expanding to nine locations worldwide, the company will open new data centres in Hong Kong, Sydney, Amsterdam and Silicon Valley, adding to its five existing sites in London Maidenhead, London Portsmouth, San Antonio, Los Angeles and Toronto.
Elastichosts provides on-demand, scalable Cloud Servers. CPU, RAM and disk can be scaled independently and billed by the hour; ensuring customers only pay for what they use. Its web user interface is simple and easy-to-navigate. As well as Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), Solid State Drives (SSDs) are available at all server instance sizes, offering a higher level of performance for high I/O applications and heavy database uses. As well as Cloud Servers, Elastichosts offers Managed Cloud Servers, Cloud Websites and various Reseller Programs.
Businesses globally can now benefit from Elastichosts' flexible Cloud Server hosting, and gain from utilising a local data centre, eliminating trans-continental lag, ensuring greater resilience, a choice of jurisdiction and billing in local currency. Specific advantages of each new location include:
Hong Kong:
- Provides a gateway for businesses wanting to expand into the booming Asian market and opens up the door for customers in Singapore, Taiwan and the rest of northern ASEAN
Sydney:
- Expands Elastichosts' global coverage and opens up the door for customers across Australia, New Zealand and southern ASEAN countries
Amsterdam:
- First site in mainland Europe; enabling customers to pay in Euros and providing a vital hub for hosting customers throughout Europe
Silicon Valley:
- Data centre in San Jose at the heart of Silicon Valley provides an excellent location for local technology businesses, and further expands Elastichosts' West Coast presence, offering a redundant partner to Elastichosts' existing Los Angeles data centre
Richard Davies, CEO at Elastichosts, explained: "The launch of these new data centres is a significant milestone, both in our growth and in offering our customers a truly global service. The benefits of Cloud Servers - cost savings and improved efficiency - are attractive to people working throughout the world at all levels of IT expertise, regardless of geographical boundaries. Through the launch of these new data centres, we are able to improve redundancy, minimise latency, offer a choice of jurisdiction and bill in local currency."
