Overture, the preferred Carrier Ethernet edge and aggregation partner for service providers and network operators worldwide, today announced its executives’ participation at the MEF Nordics Carrier Ethernet Seminar, Metro Connect USA 2013 and CITA 2013 Showcase.
Kevin Martin, Overture's senior vice president, sales, EMEA-APAC, will be speaking at 2:35 PM on Feb 20th at the MEF Nordics Carrier Ethernet Seminar in Stockholm, Sweden. Martin will co-host a panel discussion on “Carrier Ethernet Services: Fundamentals” that will address service types, attributes, bandwidth profiles, traffic management, as well as CE 2.0 manageability, exploring MEF management models, service OAM performance monitoring and recent specifications.
Prayson Pate, Overture's chief technologist, will be speaking at 2:30 PM on Feb. 20th at Metro Connect USA in Miami, Florida. Pate will provide input on a panel entitled "Software Defined Networking (SDN): The Future of the Network?" Panelists will address questions such as: Virtualizing and optimizing resources are conceptually brilliant for network evolution but what will
SDN really look like operationally? What are the practical hurdles in its implementation? Does SDN mean the end for switched networks?
Brian Van Voorhis, Overture’s senior product manager, will be speaking at CITA 2013 Showcase on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:00 AM. Van Voorhis will provide insight on the subject: “Extending Ethernet Service Footprints with Copper Bonding.”
