8x8 et SoftBank s'associent pour offrir des services de données cloud virtualisés

8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ : EGHT), un prestataire de solutions informatiques et de communications d'entreprise cloud, et SoftBank Telecom Corp. (ci-après SoftBank) ont annoncé aujourd'hui la signature d'un accord qui permettra à SoftBank d'obtenir le logiciel d'entreprise cloud par abonnement « Zerigo » de 8x8 sous licence.

Aux termes de cet accord, 8x8 va octroyer son logiciel Zerigo sous licence et développer un logiciel connexe supplémentaire permettant à Softbank de fournir des services d'interface de bureau virtuel (IBV) à ses clients du Japon et du monde entier. La combinaison du logiciel Zerigo et du nouveau logiciel IBV permettra à SoftBank d'offrir une suite complète de services cloud virtualisés à ses principales entreprises clientes en utilisant les produits Vblock de VCE, un leader en systèmes d'infrastructure cloud convergents.

Initialement, SoftBank va déployer ces services au Japon, mais envisage d'étendre rapidement leur déploiement dans le reste de l'Asie ainsi qu'en Europe, aux États-Unis et sur d'autres marchés clés dans le monde. SoftBank compte certaines des plus grandes entreprises au monde parmi ses clients pour ses services primés et envisage de commercialiser ces nouveaux services virtualisés innovants à ces mêmes clients. Cet accord procure à 8x8 des honoraires de développement et d'installation ainsi que des droits de licence continus dans le cadre d'un contrat initial de 36 mois.
