By using AppFirst, Engine Yard can collect over 100 health and operations metrics including, but not limited to metrics about CPU, memory, disk and network on a server-wide, as well as per-process level. AppFirst also enables collection and monitoring of system logs, Nagios checks and enhanced StatsD metrics. This allows users to quickly troubleshoot problems, stay on top of what’s happening with their systems in real time, and quickly communicate with the rest of the organization.
