Former Autonomy CEO Mike Lynch and former Autonomy CFO Sushovan Hussain have hired criminal defense attorneys.

Bloomberg said Lynch is using Reid Weingarten and Hussain has retained John Keker.

HP said in December that the Justice Department is investigating its claims of being rooked into overpaying for Autonomy and ultimately forced into a $8.8 billion write-off.

Weingarten has previously represented ex-WorldCom chairman Bernie Ebbers and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein. Keker has represented Black Panther leader Eldridge Cleaver, banned cyclist Lance Armstrong, investment banker Frank Quattrone and Enron exec Andrew Fastow.
