LONDON and TAMPA, Florida, September 18 /PRNewswire/ --
- Partnership delivers automated and integrated monitoring and trouble ticketing for network and system events; Helps simplify and expedite incident resolutions, and improve service levels --
Numara Software, Inc. (formerly Blue Ocean Software) -- the makers of Numara(TM) Track-It!, the world's most widely installed help desk and asset management solution -- and Raritan, a leading supplier of solutions for simplifying IT operations, announced today they have entered a partnership to deliver solutions to expedite and simplify incident resolutions. The companies also unveiled today their first integrated solution that automates trouble ticketing for network and system events.
Raritan and Numara Software have automated the incident resolution process by creating an incident flow from Raritan's CommandCenter(R) NOC (CC-NOC) -- which monitors and generates alerts on network and systems performance, security vulnerabilities and intrusions -- to the industry-leading Numara Track-It! help desk and trouble-ticketing system. In this way, service-affecting incidents are identified quickly and logged automatically with the help desk for prompt remediation and, even, prevention. Furthermore, remote in-band and out-of-band access to target devices for instant investigation and resolution is available with a few mouse clicks to those customers using Raritan's CommandCenter Secure Gateway.
"By integrating Numara Track-It! with Raritan's comprehensive CC-NOC monitoring solution, mid-sized IT organizations can move from a reactive to a proactive mode of operation," said Raritan Product Manager James Cerwinski. "A solution comprised of Numara Track-It! and CC-NOC provides automated discovery, monitoring, trouble ticket creation and tracking, and access for remediation. All you need to do is see a demo of this solution in action to understand the power and value of this integration."
According to Tom Banta, Vice President of Product Development for Numara Software, "This combination will go a long way to helping customers become much more proactive in managing their IT infrastructure and move up the IT service management maturity scale."
