MindTickle Helps HCL Decrease New Hire “Pre Join” Drop Out Rate by 90%

San Francisco, CA, November 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- MindTickle, http://www.mindtickle.com/, announces a new case study on how their online learning technology was able to help HCL significantly reduce the drop-out rates of their millennial audience in a “pre-join” program. More than 60% of the audience participated voluntarily in the pre-start date activities. The recruiting team at HCL was also able to more accurately predict the no-shows or those who would not be accepting offers to that they could adjust their staffing plans.

The company was looking for an online platform that could engage new hires between the day of offer and the day of joining, promote Day 1 readiness through online pre-boarding, reduce pre-join churn and better predict their hiring needs.

HCL leveraged MindTickle’s cloud based platform that allowed HCL to create online learning communities for new joiners and deliver pre-boarding content in an engaging manner. This helped to increase HCL’s branding with new joiners, engagement between the company and the new hires and also increase the preparedness of the company’s hires.

The candidates were presented with individualized tasks through MindTickle’s platform and were rewarded with new materials as they completed each task. Learning was treated much like a game where they could earn badges and “level up” as they went through the content.

The dropout rate of the cohort that participated within MindTickle’s cloud based platform was 9x lower than those who did not. HCL was able to cut their pre-join churn by almost 90% and could more effectively predict whether a candidate would accept an offer through participation which helped them more accurately plan for their staffing needs.
