Kony Achieves Three Consecutive Years of Record Business Performance

Kony, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced record growth for the third consecutive year following a successful Kony World 2014. Driven by increasing global demand for its cloud-based mobile application development platform (MADP), the strong growth included the addition of 100 new customers and 20 new strategic partnerships. To build on this increasing global momentum, Kony previewed new innovations within the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud suite, including the Kony Mobile Back-end-as-a-Service (MBaaS) platform, and the latest additions to its expanding application suite at Kony World in Orlando, FL.

“Multi-channel applications are becoming central to the business infrastructure of virtually every company on the planet and Kony is uniquely placed to support this growing demand,” said Raj Koneru, founder and chairman, Kony. “The success we achieved in 2013 further demonstrates our leadership in this rapidly growing market, and our ability to help organizations around the world turn the promise of enterprise mobility into reality.”

With a record number of customers, partners and mobile industry leaders gathering at Kony World 2014, the show highlighted the increasing demand for Kony’s cloud-based MADP. The innovative capabilities within the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud suite helped Kony expand its presence in a range of industries with new customers added in 2013 including Aetna, Bayer, Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola, HORIBA US, SiriusXM, SunTrust Banks and US Foods. In addition, Kony also expanded its partner community in 2013 with new strategic partners, including Telstra, Softbank and Vodafone/Bluefish. To support this record customer and partner growth, Kony increased its global presence by opening new offices in Brazil, Australia and France, and also expanded its leadership team with the appointments of Abhay Parasnis, president and chief operations officer; Matt Hale, chief financial officer; and Burley Kawasaki, senior vice president of products.

By delivering superior user-first experiences, significantly lower total costs of ownership and enabling faster time to market, Kony is uniquely positioned to help organizations successfully leverage multi-channel applications. In October 2013, Kony launched the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud suite, an end-to-end suite of products and services that streamlines the software development lifecycle for multi-channel apps and creates a unique collaboration environment for business users, designers and developers to work together in real time to deliver compelling experiences that meet business demands. The innovative suite is already used by more than 350 organizations to capitalize on the unique business opportunities presented by the rapidly growing enterprise mobility market.

At Kony World 2014, Kony also previewed the Kony MBaaS, which opens the Kony Experience Platform to a broader range of customers and developers. The innovative new solution, which is available for early preview, enables enterprise-grade back-end services such as identity, offline sync, push messaging, orchestration, storage and integration with popular systems like Salesforce.com, SAP and Oracle applications. Further expanding the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud suite, Kony also introduced next generation applications within the Kony Apps Cloud, which included enhanced user experience, cloud enablement and synchronization applications. The Kony Apps Cloud will evolve later this year into the Kony App Foundation, an industry-first multi-channel app customization platform. This will enable customers a whole new way to take a packaged application and tailor it to their own business needs.

In addition to all the benefits, IoT is also bringing new kind of customer experience challenges - cars that unlock themselves, thermostats turning houses into saunas and baby video monitors broadcasting over the internet. This list can only increase because while IoT services should be intuitive and simple to use, the delivery ecosystem is a myriad of potential problems as IoT explodes complexity. So finding a performance issue is like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.
