D-Link Now Shipping 11AC Dual Band Range Extender

D-Link today announced that the Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Range Extender (DAP-1650) is now shipping. Designed to quickly and easily improve the range and signal strength of an existing home network, the Wireless Range Extender is the perfect solution for bringing fast and reliable Wi-Fi coverage to hard-to-reach areas like upstairs bedrooms, basements and backyards.

Utilizing the latest 11AC Wi-Fi technology, this cylinder-shaped extender delivers ultra-fast wireless speeds perfect for high-bandwidth activities like HD video streaming and online gaming. To eliminate Wi-Fi interference for faster and more reliable Internet, the Wireless AC1200 Range Extender also features dual-band technology, enabling users to perform simple Internet activities on the 2.4GHz band, and more demanding activities on the cleaner, interference-free 5GHz band. Additionally, for fast wired connectivity, the Range Extender is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet ports providing wired speeds of up to 1000Gbps.

Like all of D-Link’s range extenders, the Wireless AC1200 Range Extender is designed to be simple to set up. Featuring a simple one-button installation, users need only press the WPS button on the existing router and then on the extender to sync and instantly increase the coverage of a wireless home network. Users whose routers do not have a WPS button can use a web browser or D-Link’s free QRS Mobile app for simple setup.
