Bionym Joins the FIDO Alliance as a Collaborative Effort to Make Online Authentication Secure and Effortless

Bionym to Work With FIDO-Enabled Services to Create a Trusted Ecosystem Without Passwords

TORONTO, ON -- (Marketwired) -- 07/21/14 -- Bionym announces today it has joined the FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance. As a collaborative effort, FIDO standards will make it easier for web services to leverage the Nymi as a secure authentication mechanism, without passwords. The FIDO Alliance seeks to create a new standard for strong authentication that will allow any website or cloud application to interface with a broad variety of existing and future FIDO-enabled devices. Bionym's goal of providing a single point of persistent identity through the Nymi is a strong complement to the FIDO framework. Set to work with FIDO-enabled services and websites, this creates a robust, trusted ecosystem for seamless authentication.
