Dell Software Launches Fully Localized Chinese Release of Toad for Oracle

Dell Software today announced the release of a fully localized Simplified Chinese version of Toad for Oracle. The new release marks the latest milestone for Dell Software’s flagship database development and management solution. Already used by more than 2 million database professionals across the globe, the release of version 12.5 streamlines and simplifies adoption for customers in China’s growing database management market.

Toad for Oracle 12.5 includes complete localization of the product installer, user interface and documentation into Simplified Chinese. Also translated into Simplified Chinese are the Spotlight on Oracle and SQL Optimizer for Oracle components of Toad Development Suite for Oracle and Toad DBA Suite for Oracle. Additionally, with the newest release, Dell Software is further helping customers get the most out of their Toad investments by offering free, hands-on, web-based training (6-8 hours of material) with every license.

The localization of Toad for Oracle comes at a critical time for companies in the Chinese marketplace. A McKinsey & Company article notes that the cost of labor in China is increasing by 10 percent per yeari, and predicts that technology products offering higher IT productivity soon will become a priority for many enterprises. At the same time, more companies across China are investing in modern database technologies. According to Gartner, the database management system (DBMS) market is projected to grow more than 9 percentii in China in 2014, with Oracle databases representing an approximately 43 percentiii share of that market. The need for cost-effective tools that maximize the performance and efficiency of those investments is thus more important than ever.

Major trends and emerging technologies – from virtual reality and IoT, to Big Data and algorithms – are helping organizations innovate in the digital era.
