IMS Health (NYSE:IMS) today announced the immediate availability in the U.S. of Nexxus Mobile Sales—the first complete cloud-based sales performance solution for life sciences. Nexxus Mobile Sales helps companies implement national brand strategies at local levels by combining continuously updated industry and customer data with expert decision-support tools for sales reps.
In today’s complex healthcare environment, where signals often conflict, Mobile Sales gives life sciences commercial organizations a new app on top of existing CRM systems for driving real-time, intelligent local customer engagement.
“This tablet solution provides sales teams with a powerful resource to achieve their sales targets,” says Tal Rosenberg, general manager, U.S. Technology and Applications, IMS Health. “Nexxus Mobile Sales delivers new tools to optimize their time and message—so they can fully align with national brand strategies while precisely tailoring engagement to the local market.”
The latest addition to the NexxusTM Commercial Application Suite, Mobile Sales embeds a new level of territory analytics into existing CRM and sales force automation systems to deliver just-in-time, locally relevant insights, along with expert coaching to sales reps through their handheld tablets. Mobile Sales incorporates IMS Health’s patent-pending “Next Best Customer” methodology to simplify and guide decisions about which customers to visit. This methodology—first pioneered by the IMS Health Consulting Group—is based on brand strategy analytics, local customer dynamics and multiple sources of information, including prescriber influence, prescribing patterns and proximity. Eliminating the need for sales teams to run queries or review reports, Mobile Sales issues alerts to the sales rep about specific territory and customer opportunities from brand and sales leadership.
For increased productivity in the field, Mobile Sales integrates advanced voice-command technology to provide hands-free, eyes-free access to all solution features, and delivers intuitive prompts and queries that simplify and streamline sales call follow-up and administration. As a result, sales teams can deliver greater value and spend more time with customers.
As part of the Nexxus Suite, Mobile Sales takes advantage of the IMS OneTM intelligent cloud platform that integrates IMS Health’s critical life sciences data with client data, as well as third-party information sources. The Nexxus Suite includes seamlessly interoperable Software-as-a-Service applications spanning critical commercial functions—including integrated, multi-channel marketing campaign management, CRM, social media listening and analytics, and business intelligence and key performance indicator tools.
