InfinityQS Recognised in Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Process Manufacturing and PLM, 2014, and Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution Technologies, 2014

Manufacturing Intelligence and enterprise quality software provider included in Cloud Computing in Manufacturing Operations and Supplier Quality Management Applications categories

London, UK - Aug 12, 2014 - InfinityQS International, Inc., the global authority on real-time quality and Manufacturing Intelligence, today announced that it has been identified as a "Sample Vendor" in the Gartner Inc. "Hype Cycle for Process Manufacturing and PLM, 2014" and the Gartner Inc. "Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution Technologies, 2014" reports. InfinityQS was named in the Cloud Computing in Manufacturing Operations category[1] and the Supplier Quality Management Applications category[2], respectively.

Gartner Hype Cycles provide a graphic representation of the maturity and adoption of technologies and applications, and how they are potentially relevant to solving real business problems and exploiting new opportunities. Gartner Hype Cycle methodology offers a view of how a technology or an application will evolve over time, providing a sound source of insight to manage its deployment within the context of specific business goals.

According to the analysis by Simon F. Jacobson in the Hype Cycle for Process Manufacturing and PLM, 2014 report, "cloud services will ultimately help manufacturing operations create, improve or sustain manufacturing improvements; provide multisite and multitier visibility; scale more effectively than traditional, on-premises approaches; and contribute toward a flexible and agile manufacturing network."

In the Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution Technologies, 2014 report, Simon F. Jacobson and Ray Barger, Jr., present the following business impact: "Supplier quality information is critical to corporate quality, supply chain, operations and engineering functions. These functional organisations can leverage supplier quality data to confirm corporate compliance with product and service requirements and regulations."

Michael Lyle, president and CEO, InfinityQS, said, "To ensure quality in the complex global marketplace, manufacturers are looking to gain a better understanding of each aspect of their supply chain. Technology, especially cloud-based systems, allows manufacturers to collaborate with suppliers all over the world and monitor the quality of each component in real time and identify areas for continuous improvement."

InfinityQS ProFicient is a proven Manufacturing Intelligence platform powered by a robust, centralised SPC analytical software engine. ProFicient enables global manufacturers to proactively monitor, analyse and report on Manufacturing Intelligence to improve quality, decrease costs and make smarter business decisions. Its cloud-based deployment option, ProFicient on Demand, streamlines global data collection and analysis with a unified data repository. Developing software for the Internet of Things (IoT) comes with its own set of challenges. Security, privacy, and unified standards are a few key issues. In addition, each IoT product is comprised of (at least) three separate application components: the software embedded in the device, the back-end service, and the mobile application for the end user’s controls. Each component is developed by a different team, using different technologies and practices, and deployed to a different stack/target –...
