ConteXtream to Showcase Business Benefits of ContexNet at Intel Developer’s Forum™

ConteXtream, a leading provider of carrier-grade network virtualization solutions, today announced they will be showcasing their award-winning distributed software-defined-networking (SDN) Fabric solution, ContexNet, at Intel Developer Forum 2014. ContexNet will be demonstrated on HP servers for virtualization of Gi-LAN services, providing network interconnectivity with subscriber-level granularity and visibility for service provider environments.

SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) can optimize, simplify and enrich these services to:

  • Dynamically allocate network resources on a per subscriber/user basis
  • Automate provisioning of the traffic forwarding path through the service chain
  • Provide capabilities, such as load balancing, high availability, and monitoring to eliminate the need to have these capabilities duplicated in each Virtual Network Function (VNF)
  • Enable a multi-vendor environment with best-of-breed function providers and open source software to make them carrier grade for rapid new service deployment
