Dimension Data lancia Managed Services standardizzati a livello globale per data centre

Dimension Data, specialista di soluzioni ITC e fornitore di servizi con un fatturato di 6 miliardi di dollari, ha annunciato oggi il lancio di servizi gestiti (Managed Services) standardizzati a livello globale per i dtata centre. Il portafoglio si basa sulla Managed Services Automation Platform, l'avanzata piattaforma del Gruppo per la gestione di server, archiviazioni e reti per data centre fisici, cloud e ibridi.

All’inizio dell’anno, Dimension Data aveva reso noto l'obiettivo di quadruplicare il volume di affari nenell’ambito data centre, sino a raggiungere i 4 miliardi di dollari nel 2018. Il lancio di questa suite di servizi rappresenta il passo successivo nella serie di iniziative strategiche che permetteranno al Gruppo di soddisfare i requisiti di trasformazione dei data centre dei propri clienti nazionali e internazionali.

Steve Joubert, direttore generale della divisione Data Centres del gruppo ha commentato “Stiamo assistendo a un passaggio evolutivo: da clienti che detengono e gestiscono i propri data centre all’outsourcing dell’intera infrastruttura o della gestione dell’ambiente." Da una recente ricerca condotta da Technology Business Research Inc.* è emerso che, anche con la diffusione del cloud computing, il 70% degli utenti di cloud privato prevede di utilizzare fonti terze per la gestione dei propri ambienti.
