David Greschler (pictured), Director of Virtualization Strategy at Microsoft, spoke to a full house at the colocated SOA World Conference & Expo 2007 East and first Virtualization Conferenc & Expo in New York, during which time he outlined the growth of 'diversified virtualization.""People often think there is just one kind of virtualization," he pointed out. "The attendees at this conference know differently, but not everyone does. At Microsoft, we view virtualization at many levels." Greschler took attendees--and thousands of viewers who were watching the keynote streamed live on SYS-CON.TV--on a tour of his view of virtualization. Greschler founded virtualization pioneer Softricity before it was acquired by Microsoft, and has been an expert in this area for many years.
