FalconStor's IPstor Virtualization Platform Network is Implemented at W3i

Building Intelligence Into Current Infrastructures

FalconStor Software, Inc announced that W3i has implemented FalconStor Network Storage Server, powered by the FalconStor IPstor virtualization platform, for storage, data provisioning and migration of its data.

W3i provides desktop and wireless e-services for marketers and publishers. Offering such graphically intensive solutions as screensavers, ring tones and games, increased the impact on their storage challenges. With over one million transactions daily, substantial anticipated growth, and a SAN that had grown from 1.8 TB to 8 TB in less than a year, W3i required a storage system that could manage its fast growing supply of data, while ensuring data protection and fast and easy retrievability. For them, FalconStor NSS was the answer.

"With FalconStor technology, W3i can continue being a leader within our industry by using data in a smarter and more scalable approach," said Kyle Ohme, Director of Information Technology at W3i. "With FalconStor NSS, we can better utilize our large amounts of data with the continued assurance that our services are protected and easily retrievable by our over 15 million unique visitors a month."

"FalconStor NSS provides enterprise applications with the widest array of the most advanced storage services - so that mission-critical data is always available and easily recoverable with any point-in-time integrity," said Wendy Petty, Vice President of Sales at FalconStor. "W3i is leveraging FalconStor solutions to quickly and easily provision and migrate data for efficient and effective management of their customer database."

The IPStor virtualization platform is a comprehensive suite of  storage services, as well as an integrated platform for both SAN and NAS all under one centralized management interface running across multi-vendor and multi-platform environments. With the IPStor platform, IT managers can build a new storage network or build intelligence into their current infrastructure.
