GLENDALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/05/07 -- 3n (National Notification Network), the leading global mass notification system provider, today announced the launch of two new data centers in Canada. These data centers, located in Toronto and Vancouver, are built on the same robust and reliable ACT-SaaS(SM) service delivered over an Oracle infrastructure that has made 3n InstaCom(TM) the preferred choice for organizations worldwide.
3n's Canadian data centers demonstrate 3n's commitment to protecting the security and privacy of its customers' sensitive data. With the growing attention organizations are placing on data privacy in light of the USA PATRIOT Act, many global organizations wish to host confidential information in data centers outside of the U.S. 3n has responded to these customers' needs by building redundant data centers that are 100 percent contained in Canada. In addition, these data centers use an ACT-SaaS framework, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model with multiple data centers in an active-active configuration, to eliminate time delays associated with notification solutions that fail over.
All equipment in 3n data centers is wholly owned by 3n and located on the telecommunications backbone, providing significant security and performance advantages for customers over those systems that rely on leased equipment residing on remote Points of Presence.
"3n's decision to build two independent Canadian data centers for the delivery of emergency notification for Canadian organizations addresses significant concerns from Canadian organizations about data privacy caused by the USA PATRIOT Act," said Jay N. Rosenblatt, a partner with the Canadian law firm Simpson Wigle LLP, Hamilton, Ontario. "This is a strong indication of 3n's commitment to the Canadian marketplace, putting them ahead of other mass notification vendors."
"The addition of these data centers addresses the unique needs of the Canadian marketplace as well as the requirements of 3n's extensive Global 2000 customer base," said Cinta Putra, co-founder and CEO of 3n. "3n has always taken a proactive stance in responding to customers' needs, and these data centers represent one more example of 3n's commitment to customer satisfaction as we expand operations globally."
