AppStream Selects Distributor LWP Virtualization Solutions for Expansion in Europe

Expansion in Europe

AppStream announced the addition to its EMEA channel of German-based distributor LWP. LWP is a strong addition to AppStream's EMEA channel program bringing extensive experience in software and IT implementation in the Virtualization and Server based computing markets.

"Building strong relationships with leading distributors such as LWP is key to our growing business," said Nic Burkinshaw, sales operation manager - EMEA, AppStream. "Global and pan-European enterprises look to trusted advisors in the technical VAR and VAD community to identify, evaluate and manage emerging technologies like AppStream in support of their IT operations. We are confident that LWP will help us to provide value to the specific needs of the customers in their partner community."

AppStream's award-winning streaming technology allows any Windows-based software application to be streamed on-demand to an end-user's desktop in LAN, WAN or home worker environments, and includes a full complement of user-based application provisioning and license management tools. AppStream can be deployed standalone or in tandem with existing enterprise software deployment systems. AppStream also supports application virtualisation packages from leading vendors, adding the unique on-demand, user-based distribution component to complete emerging virtualization solutions. LWP's distribution and knowledge-based technology expertise can help supply components for the development of this powerful solution for centralized application management to their established partner base throughout the DACH region.

"As we were investigating other on-demand software solutions we discovered AppStream and felt that this was the right fit for us to integrate our efforts that would be beneficial for the market," says Rolf Ferrenburg, managing director, LWP. "We were looking to focus on innovative technologies such as AppStream for secure and efficient access for virtual and traditional Windows-based desktop solutions, strong authentication and comprehensive management."

LWP's "Knowledge Based Distribution" business model extends significantly beyond the traditional role of distribution and restocking of products. The professional services business unit provides consulting, support and training to help partners understand the various products and their functionalities, to create robust designs and ensure the successful implementation and operation of the shipped components.
