GT Software announced a distribution agreement for the company's mainframe data access product with Treehouse Software. Under the licensing agreement, Treehouse will now offer industry leading mainframe data integration capabilities, globally for users of IBM mainframes. The product will also continue to be marketed and sold by GT Software directly.

Treehouse (TSI) develops and markets system software and offers consulting services related to Software AG's products, the Adabas database management system and Natural programming language. The primary TSI focus is new software and services that enable Software AG customers to leverage their investment in legacy systems with data integration, data warehousing, data distribution and conversion, and other new technologies. As a member of Treehouse's software family, the GT Software product will be known as tcACCESS.

Enabling new legacy-SOA integration strategies that tap into mainframe performance, security and programming resources, as well as valuable data, tcACCESS has a rich component set to enable any enterprise to find the right fit for every mainframe data integration and access scenario, from integration of mainframe data into office applications, to bi-directional synchronization of mainframe and non-mainframe data sources, with support for transaction processing.

tcACCESS allows a transparent integration of mainframe data sources and mainframe programs into Open System applications using industry standards like SQL, ODBC, JDBC, .NET.
