OpSource Embeds Boomi On Demand into OpSource Connect

Boomi On Demand Answers SaaS Integration Challenge for OpSource Platform Customers

OpSource and Boomi announced that the companies have expanded their partnership to include an OEM agreement whereby OpSource will embed Boomi On Demand within its software-as-a-service (SaaS) application delivery system. Boomi On Demand will be built directly into Opsource Connect, the newly launched application that helps companies consume and publish Web services and integrate SaaS applications. Within the product, Boomi On Demand will be branded as Boomi for OpSource Connect.

This partnership will mean that third-party SaaS applications delivered through the OpSource platform will be able to integrate with other SaaS and on-premise applications without the need for software packages, coding or hardware appliances. In addition, OpSource has named Boomi On DemandSM as the integration connector to be used for the OpSource Services Bus (OSB).

Boomi On Demand enables OpSource clients to connect their applications to the OpSource Service Bus without having to write code, using unique Visual Integration Technology. Once connected, these clients can extend these integration capabilities to their customers, taking integration off the table as a sales objection.

“SaaS application vendors were increasingly demanding that we incorporate integration into our SaaS delivery solution, because in reality, their customers need it. SaaS applications have moved from being a cost-effective point solution to a critical component of companies’ infrastructures, and as such, they need to be integrated with other important systems,” said Treb Ryan, CEO of OpSource. “By embedding Boomi On Demand directly into OpSource Connect, we’ve provided customers with the solution that is the easiest to use and the most affordable – all without sacrificing functionality. Together, Boomi and OpSource are empowering the SaaS ecosystem.”

OpSource On-Demand enables companies to offer applications on demand. OpSource On-Demand offers a complete operational hardware, software and networking infrastructure, including application management and 24x7 customer-branded end-user support. With the launch of OpSource Connect, integrating SaaS applications just became much easier, making the OpSource solution even more valuable to the market.

Boomi for OpSource Connect will enable application and data integrations to be built, deployed and managed directly from the Web without the burden of installing and maintaining expensive integration software packages or hardware appliances on premise. Using patent-pending technology, Boomi On Demand can handle any combination of SaaS and on-premise integration through the use of a lightweight, dynamic runtime engine called an “Atom.” Boomi Atoms (referred to as “OpSource Sockets” within OpSource Connect) contain all the components required to execute an integration process from end-to-end and can be used for SaaS-to-SaaS integration or downloaded behind the firewall for on-premise integration.

Boomi president and CEO, Bob Moul, stated, “Increasingly consumers of SaaS want to see the integration challenge addressed by independent software vendors (ISVs). They are buying a service and want integration included in that service. This is a trend we predicted some time ago and why we have focused our go-to-market strategy on SaaS ISVs, technology providers and systems integrators.  OpSource has also recognized this trend, and by teaming with Boomi, they can offer integration services natively to ISVs who host their application on the OpSource platform. It's another great example of how Boomi is powering the SaaS ecosystem and eliminating integration as a barrier to SaaS adoption.”
