FalconStor Software announced that it has partnered with
Total Tec Systems to offer FalconStor storage virtualization appliances and
data protection appliances to the mid-market. Total Tec will offer the
FalconStor Virtual Tape Library (VTL) Storage Appliances with embedded data
de-duplication, the FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP) Storage
Appliances, and the FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS) Appliances for
environments using HP servers and HP storage.
“The combined capabilities of server, software, and storage that appliances
enable, is preferred by many mid-market end users,” said Wendy Petty, Vice
President of North American Sales at FalconStor. “Our partnership with Total
Tec Systems will support the expansion of FalconStor's reach into this market.
The new relationship with Total Tec Systems will provide FalconStor with an
opportunity to rapidly gain market share among users who prefer these solutions
on HP hardware.”

solutions with an award winning family of products that will complement our
current offerings," said Paul Collins, Vice President, Technology, North
America at Total Tec Systems. "We are especially pleased to be offering
their appliances with their rapid deployment and insurance of business
continuity for our customers."
FalconStor CDP Storage Appliances provide complete data protection and continuous data availability across both physical and virtual systems, effectively eliminating backup windows and the need for mandatory restores, to deliver true business continuity. The appliances incorporate mirroring, application-aware snapshots, and database agents to ensure the continuous availability of mission-critical data.
The FalconStor NSS Appliances deliver fast and simple iSCSI or Fibre Channel (FC) storage. NSS appliances provide storage virtualization, provisioning, and heterogeneous storage management. All models include FalconStor TimeMark snapshot capabilities for fast recovery to known good points in time.
The FalconStor VTL Virtual Appliance and the FalconStor CDP Virtual Appliance are both pre-configured, ready-to-run software applications packaged with the operating system inside a virtual machine running under VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3. Total Tec will also offer FalconStor CDP and VTL Virtual Appliances for VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
