Kaavo today announced the beta release of IMOD (Infrastructure and Middleware on Demand) application. IMOD provides a simple interface to cloud computing and makes it easy to run, monitor, and manage virtual private servers on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Kaavo's IMOD application allows any company across the globe to access compute capacity, as needed at a very affordable price. Anyone with an Amazon EC2 account can self register for the application and try it for free during the beta phase at https://www.imodlive.com, others (those who don’t have an Amazon EC2 account) may contact Kaavo at support@kaavo.com to request access to the free trial of the IMOD application.
“The goal of Amazon Web Services is to enable companies of all sizes to develop innovative new products and services for their customers, without having to worry about the hassle and expense of maintaining a massive web-scale infrastructure on the back end,” said Steve Rabuchin, Director of Developer Relations for Amazon Web Services. “We’re pleased that Kaavo is using Amazon Web Services for its IMOD application.”
“Cloud computing is a paradigm shift; companies leveraging it will be able to innovate cheaper and faster. Ideas will be more important than the technology infrastructure; companies who have great ideas but can’t implement them fast enough due to resource constraints will get the biggest benefit from using Kaavo’s IMOD application,” said Jamal Mazhar, CEO of Kaavo.
About Kaavo: Kaavo is a startup focused on leveraging open source software and utility/cloud computing to make it easier for individuals and companies to have on-demand infrastructure and middleware for running secure and scalable web services and applications. Kaavo's core product is IMOD (Infrastructure and Middleware on Demand). For more information, please visit www.kaavo.com.
